The first new literacies I would like to introduce is Youtube, as one of the most poplular video sharing site in the world, it plays an important role of communicating in our society. According to the reading,

‘User-generated content hosting sites like ‘YouTube’, make it easy to share meanings across time and space, and even across languages and cultures.’ Refers to wikipedia, One of the most viewed youtube videos,’Gangnam style’ encourages people to know about Korean pop music, provides  a understanding of different culture.

The second example of new literacies site is ‘Tumblr‘. it shared the same concept of communicating with all over world, like youtube, but ‘Tumblr’ is majorly focus on building up your own short form blog, and post with multimedia e.g. image, gif or music. people can also access to see other contents like quotes or video. the platform of ‘Tumblr’ and youtube both tie up our social networking and increase youth creativiey.

Third example of the new literacies site is ‘Pixlr‘.

It is a site which allowed people to edit their photo and share it online. In the readng, it said new literacies create a chance to  ‘Generating kind of encoded text requires access to image editing software’ and knowledge of how to edit their image using online tool, put it into a new background, etc.

Last example of the new literacies site is ‘Wevideo‘, it is a online video editor softwave.

‘Someone with access to a fairly standard computer or other mobile digital device and internet connection, and who has some basic knowledge of standard software applications can create a diverse range of meaningful artifacts using a strictly finite set of physical operations or techniques’ as a evident that this video editor also available
